Abstract

In the present study, two kinds of epoxy resin(AG-80 and TDE-86) were mixed together in a proportion, then liquid curing agent with low viscosity was added, an epoxy resin for RTM was obtained. Experimental results indicated that the viscosity of resin system was of 1081MPa · s at 30℃. The cured resin system showed good mechanical properties: the tensile strength reached 73MPa, the tensile modulus reached 1.36GPa, elongation at break reached 6.3%, flexural strength reached 150MPa, flexural modulus reached 3.12GPa, and the glass transition temperature reached 191℃. Experimental results indicate this resin system has low viscosity, excellent mechanical properties and temperature resistance, which can meet the requirements of resin transfer molding.
