摘要

Abstract

A pressure vessel is designed for storing pressurized gas or liquid, and is liable to catastrophic damage in the hypervelocity impact by space debris and micro-meteoroids. A uniform experimental design method was used for the hypervelocity impact simulation of the pressure vessel onboard satellite. Based on the LS-DYNA software, the penetration hole sizes of the pressure vessel were oltained for different parameters of the projectile. A prediction formula for the penetration hole sizes was obtained through data fitting and compared with test results. A satisfactory forecasting precision is shown against engineering requirements.
