The Combined Device and Applications for the Teaching-beams Experiment

Abstract
Experiment as an important part of practice is an important role in civil engineering research and teaching. The mechanical properties test of the reinforced concrete teaching-beam is a required test in civil engineering undergraduate teaching. According to the situation that the laboratory in some schools are not capable of reinforced concrete beams test, the team reached the purpose, processes, loading methods. A combined device for the teaching-beams experiment was designed and produced. The device using balance system and can be assembled, disassembled. It also can be installed in any narrow space such as in the classroom. The span of the devices' support can be adjust and the operation of the devices is convent, safe and reliable. With the combination of teaching and test device, it is much more convenience to observe the whole process of the concrete cracking, the yield of the longitudinal reinforcement, and the compressed concrete achieving ultimate compressive strain of the reinforced concrete beam which is under load, and the students can obtain a deeper understand of the stress mechanism and the damage form of the reinforced concrete beam.关键词
