摘要

Abstract

Nowadays Graphics Processor Units(GPU) 's compute capability let the execution of complex and parallel algorithm,such as kD-tree ray tracing techniques for real time 3D scene rendering become more available. GPUs are optimized to render polygons, and programmable vertex shader, geometry shader, and pixel shader have made it widely applicable for unified compute.This paper demonstrates kD-tree traversal algorithm based on OpenCL, increases the performance of intersection test and enables the stream processor and memory work more efficiency, consequently, improves the ray tracing system.
