Abstract
Objective To detect the expression of SP100 protein in head and neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCC), and to discuss its clinical significance.Methods Immunohistochemistry method was used to detect the expression of SP100 in 128 cases of HNSCC and their corresponding adjacent mucosa tissues.The relationship between SP100 expression and clinical pathological parameters of HNSCC was analyzed.Results Expression of SP100 showed a predominantly nuclear pattern in well-differentiatod cancer cells and diffuse cellular distribution in cytoplasm in poorly-differentiated cells.The positive expression rate of SP100 protein was 89.1％ (114/128) and 37.5％ (48/128) in HNSCC cancer tissue and normal mucosa tissue respectively (P ＜0.05 ).SP100 expression level was significantly correlated with cell differentiation (P ＜ 0.05), and not correlated with age, sex, T classificatioin, lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis and clinical stage.Conclusion SP100 protein expression is significantly correlated with the HNSCC cell differentiation.关键词
