摘要

Abstract

The common topologies of solid-state modulator are introduced. The characteristics of two circuit topologies, switch direct-series and adder superposition, are discussed. The series superposition solid state hard tube modulator based on IGBT is designed. The modulator is insulated by charging source transformer. Six modulator units are in series overlapping. The output voltage is boosted to 40 kV by pulse transformer. The key technologies are discussed. The saturation of pulse transformer is analyzed and the resolving measures are provided. The snubber circuit is discussed. The voltage waveforms of IGBT are provided in the case of whether the snubber circuit is present or not. The methods of pulse overshoot control and electromagnetic interference rejection are proposed.
