Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between the levels of C - peptide and diabetic peripheral neuropathy ( DPN ) . Methods A total of 152 T2DM patients were divided into groups T2DM ( n = 61 ) and DPN ( n = 91 ). Height, weight, blood pressure ( BP ), lipids, fasting blood glucose ( FBG ), 2 hour postprandial blood glucose ( 2 hPG ), glycosylat-ed hemoglobin ( HbA1c ), fasting C peptide, 2 hour glucose C peptide, fasting insulin ( FINS ), 2 hour glucose load insulin ( 2 hINS ), body mass index ( BMI) were determined and compared between 2 groups. Logistic regression analysis was used to study the risk factors of T2DM combined with DPN. Results The level of 2 hour glucose C peptide, BMI were significantly lower but course of disease and HbA1c higher in DPN group than in T2DM group ( P <0. 05 ). Multiple Logistic regression analysis showed that T2DM complicated by DPN was negatively correlated with 2 h glucose C peptide ( P =0. 000 ). Conclusion T2DM complicated by DPN is closely related to 2 h glucose C peptide, but its relationship to course of disease needs further research with a large sample size.关键词
