Effects of top-dressing time and planting density on grain yield and components of wheat cultivar Yunong 202

Abstract
A split-plot experiment was carried out to study the effects of top-dressing time and planting density on yield and components of new wheat cultivar Yunong 202. The results showed that top-dressing time had a significant effect on yield but not on its components. Planting density had a highly significant effect on yield and on the spike number per hectare and grain number per spike but not on 1 000-grain weight. There were great yield difference and some components difference among planting densities in different top-dressing time. Grain number per spike and the spike number per hectare had a larger direct effect on yield in the different treatments of planting density and top-dressing time. Postponing top-dressing time and controlling planting density with 1.8 million ~ 2.4 million plants · hm-2 can increase the yield potential of wheat cultivar Yunong 202.关键词
