摘要

Abstract

[ Objective] The reference for the evaluation of the soybean with the resistance to lodging and its variety-breeding was provided through the research on the mechanical property of soybean stem, its change along the plant stem height and its close relation with the lodging resistance. [ Method ] The experiment in the mechanics ability of two kinds of the stem( dry and wet) of 3 soybean varieties, which were compressed in the direction of axial was conducted by means of V3.4-HTC machine. The maximum load capacity, the geometric property of crosssection, the compressive strength and the modulus of elasticity at the different parts of the stem ( the height from the ground) were measured and calculated. [ Result] The maximum load capacity, the compressive strength and the modulus of elasticity of the dried soybean stem were significantly higher than those of the wet soybean stem. The maximum load capacity of both the dried and wet stem was linear downward along the direction of plant height, which maximum value appeared in the stem height below 5cm from the ground. The compressive strength was essentially the same and the modulus of elasticity varied little with the maximum value at the stem height form 8cm to 30cm from the ground. The distribution of the compressive strength along stem height of 3 soybean varieties was basically reasonable and the biomechanical property of the variety-CD08508 was poorest among 3 varieties. [ Conclusion ] The content of moisture in soybean stem significantly affected its mechanical property and in the period of easy lodging, the control of the appropriate content of moisture was the key measure. In the soybean-breeding of lodging-resistance, the maximum load capacity of stem and the distribution of mechanical strength along the stem height should be evaluated.
