Effects of Moxibustion Preconditioning on NOS in Rats with Global Cerebral Ischemia-reperfusion Injury

摘要

Abstract

Objective: To observe the effects of moxibustion preconditioning on NOS in rats with Global cerebral ischemia- repeffusion injury. Methods: 150 Wistar rats were divided into control group, sham operated group, ischemia- repeffusion (IR group), ischemie preconditioning group( IP group), moxibustion preconditioning group( MP group) by means of random number table. The activity of iNOS and nNOS in injuried brain tissue was determined by chemical colorimetry at 24h ,48h and 72h after cerebral ischemia - repeffusion. Results:At 24 h ,48 h and 72 h post ischemia -reperfusion, the activity of iNOS and nNOS in IR group, IP group,MP group were significantly increased as compared with that in control group and sham operated group (P <0. 01 ). At 48 h,72 h post ischemia - reperfusion, the activity of iNOS and nNOS in IP group, MP group were significantly decreased as compared with that in IR group( P <0.01 ) ,but there was no significant difference between IP group and MP group( P > 0.05 ). Conclusion :These results show that the ability of moxibustion preconditioning for inhibiting the activity of NOS is the same as that of ischemia - reperfusion , suggesting that moxibustion preconditioning is an effective means for inducing cerebral ischemic tolerance.
