Abstract
It introduces the main circuit topology and working principle of the battery charging and discharging converter in multiple battery energy storage system, and studies the control strategy for bi-directional DC-DC converters connecting with the battery. A battery charge and discharge system composed of three groups of bi-directional DC-DC converters and one bi-directional PWM converter is developed, whose power is 120 kW, which can meet the need for independent charge and discharge of three groups of batteries. Experimental results in the lithium battery energy storage system show that the bi-directional DC-DC converter has multiple functions, such as battery charging, battery discharge, islanding operation, battery charge and discharge with each other. The charge current ripple current is less than 0.5% with smooth waveform, which is applicable to multiple, wide-range voltage battery charge and discharge.关键词
