Abstract
Based on the idea of lean production, a new cost model of manufacturing for a single machine is developed so as to determine the best cycle time of a production line. Then a method of selecting the best cycle time for an assembly line during the design stage is proposed. The method is able to adapt to market demand changes. Both the model and method are evaluated by means of a case study.关键词
