Abstract
During embryonic development and cancer metastasis or fibrosis, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) is a cellular process whereby epithelial cells disintegrate their intercellular contacts, organize their motility apparatus, and move to new locations. As a necessary inducer of EMT,transforming growth factor β (TGF-β) promotes and regulates EMT through Smad signaling-dependent or independent pathways, such as Erk, PI3K/Akt, JNK/p38, WNT/GSK3/β, catenin, etc. This article reviewed the molecular mechanisms of TGF-β signaling pathways in EMT.关键词
