Abstract
Objective To discuss the factors outside the skull that affect the prognosis on patients with severe traumatic brain injury ( TBI ). Methods Data of 139 patients admitted from June 2006 to June 2009 with severe TBI were analyzed retrospectively. Results Among the 139 cases, 42 cases had good recovery, 29 cases had moderate disability, 22 cases had severe disability, and 1case had plant survival and 45 cases died. The patients' prognosis were significantly correlated with hepox-emia, hypotension, hyperpyrexia, hyperglucemia, high leukocyte count and age ( P ＜ 0. 05 ). Conclusion To control the factors outside the skull may be a useful approach for improving the prognosis of patients with severe traumatic brain injured.关键词
