摘要

Abstract

[ Objective ] The aim was to observe the effects of the stems of Oplopanax elatus Nakai on the immune functions of immunosuppressed mice. [ Methods ] Immunosuppressed mice model was established through the intraperitoneal injection with cyclophosphamide and the daily intragastric administration of extracts from O. elatus Nakai. And then the effects of O. elatus Nakai on the immune organ weight index,carbon particle clearance capability of macrophage and delayed type hypersensitivity of mice were observed. [ Results ] Treatment of the immunosuppressed mice with extracts from O. elatus at the daily dose of 5.2, 2.6 and 1.3 g/kg all significantly increased the weight of the immune organs, carbon particle clearance capability of macrophage and delayed type hypersensitivity of mice. [ Conclusion] O. elatus Nakai could enhance the immune functions of immunosuppressed mice.
