摘要

Abstract

Large scale wind farms connected at the end of a power grid have great impacts on it. The analysis of maximum power injection ora wind farm is important in wind farm planning and operation. Based on the static security and transient stability constraints, a particle swarm optimizeion ( PSO ) algorithm was presented to determine the wind power penetration limit in a power system. The enhanced PSO algorithm can improve the global optimal search ability and avoid the local minimum trap. Simulation results on an IEEE New England 39-bus system proved the validity of the proposed algorithm. The other relevant factors which impact the maximum power injection were also analyzed.
