Abstract
Objective To investigate the value of urodynamics to patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia.Methods Urodynamics and International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) were conducted in 68 patients.Statistic Analyses for the urodynamic data and IPSS before surgery and 3 ～ 6 months after surgery were made.Results All these 68 patients had bladder outlet obstruction, with average maximum urine flow rate (6.45±3.5 mL/s), maximum detrusor systolic pressure (68.3±49.6 cmH2O),maximum bladder volune (356±203 mL) and IP-SS score (23.3±5.4).Three months after surgery, among 14 patients of dysuria, 12 patient's function of detrusor did not recovered, 2 patients had combined with spasm at bladder neck; 2 patients as urinary incontinence were both low compliance bladder and unstable bladder.Conclusion Urodynamics has significant value in the diagnosis for prostatic hyperplasia, and helping to determine the indication for surgery, choosing treatment methods and estimating treatment result, avoiding the blindness in surgery, improving the satisfaction after the surgery and preventing medical disputes.关键词
