Abstract
Discuss the definition of traditional surgeryfor pelvic organ prolapse and review the RCT results for traditional and new surgeries for pelvic reconstruction. Traditional surgery for pelvic organ prolapse refers to procedures without using implant materials, mainly including hysterectomy and anterior colporrhaphy and posterior colporrhaphy. New surgical technique refers to surgery using synthetic material or donors graft. Regarding severe anterior pelvic organ prolapse, most RCT research shows better results using the new surgical methods to improve anatomical outcome as compared to vaginal anterior wall colporrhaphy. The success rate, restoration of normal function and improvement in patient's quality of life of all kinds of anatomical repair surgeries still requires futher evaluation.关键词
