Abstract
Multidimensional compound-specific stable isotope analysis (MD-CSIA) method can be used to precisely identify the attenuation pathways of organic contaminants in aquifers, which will provide an efficient method to evaluate in-situ remediation efficiency and to fix microbial degradation processes for the target pollutants. This review paper has analyzed the evolution of application of the MD-CSIA method in studies of groundwater organic contaminants. The work of successful applications of the method to dating the allocation of contaminant sources and the identification of (bio) transformation reactions are mainly discussed. The implication for the quantification for the degree of organic compound transformation is especially pointed out.Subsequently, the application research trends of the MD-CSIA method have been proposed.关键词
