摘要
Abstract
Chronic low - grade inflammation is associated with diabetes mellitus ( DM ) and its complications. Inter-leukin-18 ( IL-18 ), a pro-inflammatory cytokine, might play a role in development of DM and its complications. Serum level of IL - 18 is of some value in not only evaluating DM prognosis, clinical treatment and its complications, but also providing a new research direction for its prevention. This paper reviews the role of IL-18 in the development of DM and its complications.关键词
