Applications of Cellulose-based Suffactant in Deinking

Abstract
Synthesis of cellulose-based surfactant and its applications in mixed office waste paper(MOW) deinking were invsetigated. The relationship of rellulose-based surfactant and deinking effect as well as deinked pulp(DIP) strength were studied. The results showed that use of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose polyethenoxy ether( 7 B424 ) alone had only little effect on improving brightness and reducing residual ink. However, it did improve strength of DIP. The tensile strength and tear resistance inereased 4.73% and 15.20%, respectively. Utilization of product 7B424 formulation with other deinking agents,the brightness, ink removal, tensile strength and tear resistance of DIP respectively increased 1.87% ( ISO ), 4.75 %, 5.33 % and 12.15 %,meanwhile, chemical oxygen demand( COD ) reduced by 10.2%. Using another formulation with AEC-7-Na, S-80 and 7B424.the deinking performance was good, DIP brightness reached 90.58 % ( ISO ), ink removal efficiency was 96.05 %, tensile strengh and tear resistance incrased by 8.73%, 13.37% respectively, and COD was only 220.5 mg/L.关键词
