Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To provide reference for the implementation of essential drug system in China.METHODS: The foreign experience of the availability and accessibility to essential drugs were analyzed, and the barrier of the availability and accessibility of essential drugs was explained to put forward solution program.RESULTS: The main barrier of the availability of essential drugs was that contradictions between profit-driven of essential drug production, distribution and use field and the meager profits of essential drugs; the accessibility to essential drugs had been affected by the public lack of awareness of essential chugs, non-dominant position of Essential Drug List and low income of some patients et al.CONCLUSION: We suggest that government lead to streamline the conflict of interest in essential drug supply chain, actively promote and strengthen the essential drugs system, and enhance low-income patients' availability of essential drugs by increasing government subsidies.关键词
