Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy and safety of capecitabin combined oxaliplatin in the treatment of stage Ⅲ coloreetal cancer. METHODS: 214 patients suffering from stage Ⅲ colorectal cancer were admitted in our hospital during Jan. 2004～Jun. 2010. Those patients were randomly divided into initial treatment group with 102 cases (receiving chemotherapy for the first time) and retreatment group with 112 cases (had received chemotherapy without combined therapy of eapecitabine and exaliplatm). Those patients received oral dose of capecitabin 1 500 mg·m-2, intravenous injection of oxaliplatin 100 mg·m-2 and chemotherapy regimen. Blood routine examination was conducted every week during chemotherapy. The electrocardiogram, electrolyte and liver and kidney function were determined before and after each treatment course. After 2 treatment courses, the therapeutic efficacy of chemotherapy was evaluated by CT scanning at 42th day. The adverse drug reactions of all patients were recorded. RESULTS: There was significant difference in effective rate between initial treatment group and retreatment group (46.08％ vs. 24.11％ ). The chemotherapy regimen showed total effective rate was 34.58％. The adverse drug reactions included nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, lipsotrichia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, anemia, sensory neuropathy, liver fimction impairment, etc. No Ⅳ degree toxicity reaction was found. CONCLUSION: Capecitabin combined with oxaliplatin is effective and safe in the treatment of stage Ⅲ colorectal cancer. The therapeutic efficacy of initial treatment group is better than that of retreatment group.关键词
