摘要

Abstract

[ Objective ] The purpose of the research was to evaluate the potential of willow ( Salix spp. ) applying in phytoremediation of lead polluted environment. [ Method] Two willow species,Salix jiangsuensis CL‘ J172’ ,and Salix babylonica were selected and the root morphology and physical characteristic under the lead stress in solution culture were studied. [ Result ] The results showed that root length was significantly decreased under lead stress. Root surface area, root volume, and average diameter of root in Salix babylonica increased under the moderately lead stress. Root surface area,root volume,and average diameter of root in Salix jiangsuensis CL‘ J172’ were decreased significantly by lead. SOD activity, POD activity and Pro content increased under the moderately lead stress, while decline under extremely lead stress. Leaf soluble protein and chlorophyll content decrease under lead stress,though the trends differ for different species. [ Conclusion]This study had important references value to the mediation of heavy metal by willow.
