摘要

Abstract

This paper explore a new type of free cutting brass by adding trace elements such as Al,Ni, Sn and La into the Cu-Zn-Si-P alloy for replacing toxic Pb-brass and expensive Bi-brass.Meanwhile, the effects of trace elements on the alloy structures and properties are discussed and the influence law and mechanism are analyzed. The test results of Cu-Zn-0.5% Si-P-Sn-Ni-La alloy shows: Under cold-drawn state, the cutting, hardness, tensile strength and elongation are 80% (comparing with that of HPb59-1), 165 HB, 617 MPa, 16% respectively.
