摘要

Abstract

The seismic behavior of shear wall structures is not very good due to poor ductility and concentration of crack spreading and even failure. Based on the concept of passive structural control, a variety of seismic energy-dissipation shear wall systems with good ductility and energy dissipation ability have been proposed and studied at home and abroad to make improvement to the behavior of shear wall structures under earthquakes. The damping mechanism of energy-dissipation shear wall systems is outlined. Several typical shear wall systems utilizing proposed mechanism, including shit shear walls, coupled shear walls with damping beams, hybrid infilled walls, rocking walls et al, are introduced in constructional details, experimental studies, and analyses of the systems. The limitions in previous researches and applications are also included in this paper.
