摘要

Abstract

Aim To investigate the effects of midazolam on the percentage of δ band power of quantitative pharmco-EEG( QPEEG ). Methods 20 healthy male adults were randomly divided into 2 groups ( n= 10 each ) and were given iv injections of 0.05 mg · kg-1 and 0. 1 mg · kg-1 of midazolam respectively. The EEG samples were obtained before and at regular intervals following the midazolam injections. Power spectral analysis was conducted to check the EEG variations before and after the midazolam iv injections. Results After midazolam injections, the percentage of δ band power of QPEEG all increased in group Ⅱ( P <0.01 ),reached its peak after about 5 min, and then returned to normal after about 10 min. The percentage of δ bandpower of QPEEG had a trend of increase in group Ⅰ ,but was not statistically significant ( P > 0.05 ). Conclusions Midazolam increases the percentage of QPEEG power at δ band in a dose-dependent manner,which suggests that the percentage of QPEEG power at δ band serves as an effective index of anesthesia depth monitering.
