摘要

Abstract

A great amount of investigations were made at home and abroad for the wave overtopping of coastal engineering and several methods for calculating mean wave overtopping were proposed. Because affecting factors considered are different ,the results are quite different too. By now, in the design of most China coastal engineering such as seawall and revetment, ‘allowing wave overtopping’is used as the control condition to initially determine seawall top elevation,then the physical model test is applied to verify it. Based on the 3-D wave model test and synthesizing main researching deliverables for the mean wave overtopping on the slopping seawall ,the various methods are analyzed and compared each other,the suitable method is proposed for different situations, which will provides the reference for the similar project.
