Clinical Observation of Atorvastatin in Treating 198 Cases of Hyperlipidemia

Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of atorvastatin(10 mg/d) in treating hyperlipidemia. Methods A hundred and ninety- eight patients with hyperlipidemia were treated with oral atorvastatin 10 mg daily for 8 months. The change of blood lipid level were observed at 4, 8 weeks after treatment. Results After 4-week and 8- week treatment, total cholesterol(TC), low- density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) and triglyceride (TG) in the patients were significantly decreased (P＜ 0.01); high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) was increased obviously(P ＜0.05). During the treatment process, 3 cases developed gastrointestinal tract discomfort and other cases had no apparent adverse reactions. Conclusion Atorvastatin is safe and effective to treat hyperlipidemia with less adverse reactions.关键词
