Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To assess the effectiveness and safety of Xiyanping injection in the treatment of infantile virus diarrhea. METHODS: Medline, VIP, CNKI and Wanfang Database were searched and Cochrane systematic review was adopted. Two readers independently evaluated methodological quality by selecting trials, collecting data and cross checking according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.0 software. RESULTS: Thirteen studies were included, involving 1 441 participants. Xiyanping injection was compared with Ribavirin injection, and results of meta-analysis showed that the relative risk (RR) for the total obvious effect rate was 1.72 and 95％ CI was [1.51,1.97]; RR for the total effective rate was 1.31 and 95％ CI was[1.25, 1.38]. The weighted mean difference (WMD) in disappearance time of diarrhea between the two groups was -1.15 and 95％CI was [-1.40,-0.90]. CONCLUSION: Results of systematic review show that Xiyanping injection is better than Ribavirin injection for infantile virus diarrhea. However, due to the limited quantity and quality of the included studies, high quality large-scale randomized double blind trials are required for further study.关键词
