Controllable Fabrication of SnO2 Nanomaterials with Three Kinds of Morphologies and Their Application as Cataluminescence Sensor

Abstract
A simple method for controllable synthesis of SnO2 nanomaterials with three kinds of morphologies like nanoparticles, nanorods and SnO2-CNT nanocomposites by carbon nanotube-templated liquid phase deposition method has been proposed. The TEM images of SnO2-CNT nanocomposites reveal that the carbon nanotube is coated by a thin layer of SnO2 nanoparticles. Uniform and monodispersed crystalline SnO2 nanorods have been obtained by burning of the CNT template. Cataluminescence (catalytic chemiluminescence, CTL)characteristic of ethyl acetate catalyzed on nanosized SnO2 with three kinds of morphologies have been studied.Nanostructure and BET surface area of the SnO2 nanomaterial are very important for the CTL. Relationship between SnO2 nanomaterial with three kinds of morphologies and CTL of ethyl acetate has been established.Three new kinds of gas sensors have been invented based on the spectrum mentioned above.关键词
