摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the Omentin plasma level of male people with central obesity.Methods A total of 85 men were chosen from clinics, and they were divided into 2 groups: those whose waist to circumference ( WHR ) ≥0.90 in central obesity group ( group A, n = 37 ) and those whose WHR ＜0.90 in control group ( group B, n =48 ).The plasma omentin level was assayed by ELISA, and the levels of height, weight, waist circumference, hip circumference, blood pressure, total cholesterol, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, triglyceride, high - sensitivity C - reactive protein, fasting blood glucose and insulin levels were detected.Results The plasma omentin level was lower in group A than in group B, with a significant difference ( P =0.004 ).The decline of plasma omentin level was the independent factor for male central obesity ( P = 0.048 ).Conclusion Male central obesity subjects have a significantly lower plasma omentin level than control subjects.The decline of plasma omentin level is the independent factor for male central obesity.关键词
