摘要

Abstract

Generally, embedded system has limited processing power and some specific functionalities,thus does not have good performance in dealing with graphic data. By applying the idea of reconfigurable computing to the design of embedded system, this paper presents a new design of reeonfigurable display adaptor for embedded system that provides both benefits of flexibility from software and high performance from hardware.To demonstrate the feasibility, a prototype system is built on Xilinx's FPGA developing board using the display of a BMP picture as an example, with many design and implementation details. This has laid a solid technology foundation for the next step of reconfigurable multimedia systen.
