Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of combining traditional Chinese medicine ( TCM ) and western medicine in treating hypermesis gravidarum( HG ). Methods 80 cases of pregnant women with HG, who hospitalized from January- 2009 to December 2010, were randomly divided into study group and control group. Each group had 40 cases. The control group was administrated with fluid and electrolyte replacement, while the study group was treated with combining TCM in addition to fluid and electrolyte replacement. The therapeutic effect was evaluated after seven days. Results The total effective rate was 100.00％ in study group, which was significantly higher than that ( 87.50％ ) in control group ( exact probability P = 0.03 ). Conclusion Combining TCM and western medicine is effective to HG.关键词
