Abstract
Objective To investigate the current situation and existing problems concerning the notification and management of infectious diseases at primary healthcare institutions in Nanning to provide basis for future improvement as well as for the equalization of public healthcare. Methods One district was selected by cluster random sampling method. Contents of the investigation were decided based on the [2010] No.23 and the [ 2010 ] No. 27 document of Guangxi Health agencies. Results Notification and management of infectious diseases had been carried out to different degrees among primary healthcare institutions in Nanning City. Infectious disease notification system was somewhat integrated in township hospitals; however, local disease control institutions had yet to manage the notification affairs among community health service organizations; management of infectious diseases was still in its initial stage. Conclusion Health administrative agencies must take immediate steps to keep up with the progress of national health reform and establish effective linkage systems to strengthen the control over and the support delivered to primary healthcare institutions concerning the notification and management of infectious diseases; local disease control institutions should define responsibility areas of service for community health organizations as soon as possible so that the management of infectious diseases could be carried out both thoroughly and in time ; Good notification and management service of infectious diseases should be strictly sticked to by primary healthcare institutions.关键词
