Numerical Simulation of Equivalent Modulus of Concrete Based on Homogenization Theory

Abstract
In the present paper, concrete is taken as a kind of three-phase composite material which is made up of sanded cement grout, coarse aggregate and the interface between them on the meso-scale. By applying three types of boundary condition and initial load to the cell structure,numerical simulation of equivalent elastic modulus of concrete based on homogenization theory is carried out. The results show the significance in determining the mechanical property of material in each phase and volume fraction, especially the interface phase. The numerical result is compared with experimental one and it is observed that both are in approximate agreement. The maero equivalent elastic property of periodic structure can be accurately exhibited by the equivalent elastic modulus of concrete obtained from the finite element method of homogenization.关键词
