A Study on Depression and Negative Cognitive Bias of College Students with Hearing Impairment
摘要
Abstract
Objective To study the mental status of college students with hearing impairment and relationship between depression and cognitive bias. Methods The Beck Depression Inventory(BDI)and Cognitive Bias Questionnaire(CBQ) were used to investigate 189 hearing-impaired undergraduates in Tianjin University of Technology. Results ① The college students with hearing impairment were susceptible to depression on the mild side and no difference were found between males and females.② The depression was characterized by social withdrawal among these students. ③ The depression of females was closely related to the cognitive bias and negative cognitive style i.e. information processing styles. However, there was no obvious correlation between the depression and cognitive bias in males. ④The cognitive bias of female hearing-impaired students could be the indicator of depression. Conclusion It is very important for colleges to attach more importance to the mental health of hearing-impaired students, especially the depression inclination and cognitive bias, and help them cope with negative emotions and establish good communication modes.关键词
