Review on the Experimental Techniques in Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Machinery Research at the Johns Hopkins University

摘要

Abstract

The research activities at the Laboratory for Experimental Fluid Dynamics,Johns Hopkins Uuiversity,USA were mainly introduces. The researches on experimental fluid mechanics and fluid machinery are given, which are PIV technology development,cavitation research, multiphase flow research, turbulent boundary layer research, fluid machinery research, etc. These works reflect the latest achievements in the United States in the area. Comments on the techniques and the research contents are given. It was discussed the future trend in fluid machinery research as well as the associated higher education issue.
