Abstract
Objective To study the condition of young and middle-aged patients with cerebral infarction and nosocomial infection. Methods With the retrospective analysis method, statistical analysis was done on the condition of nosocomial infection in 896 cerebral-infarction patients aged 18 to 45 treated in our hospital from August 2005 to August 2009. Results In all the patients, the nosocomial infection rate was 9.15% (82/896), and the infected positions were mainly at respiratory tract and urinary track; Among 896 patients, 57 of nosocomial infections were in 625 male patients (9. 12% ) and 25 in 271 female patients (9. 23% ), and the difference was not significant between males and femals( x2 = 0, P > 0. 05). The shortest time of nosocomial infection was 3 days after admission and the longest was 23 days after admission, and the average time was 11.53 d.The nosocomial infection rates in all the patients within the hospital stay of 1,2, 3, or 4 weeks were 2.01%, 5.58%, 8.26%,9. 15% respectively. 52 patients had nosocomial infection in 807 patients without diabetes (6.44%) but 30 in 89 patients with diabetes (33. 71% ), and the difference was significant (x2 =73.68, P <0. 001 ). Conclusion The nosocomial infection rate is higher in young and middle-aged patient with cerebral infarction than that of common diseases, and it is closely related to diabetes. The infected positions are mainly at respiratory and urinary tracts.关键词
