Research progress on the utilization of rice grain weight traits in molecular breeding
摘要
Abstract
Rice grain weight is an important character which affects its yield and quality. The paper summarizes the progresses made in identification of genetic characteristics of grain weight, QTLs related with it, gene mapping and the cloning researches. The paper also summarizes the correlation between groin weight, grain shape and quality traits. The importance of progeny selection at early stages has been discussed in view to obtain target strain and to increase yield and enhance quality synchronously within appropriate range of grain weight. Identification and transformation of the genes related to the traits of grain weight has been suggested as a potential method to improve the rice yield.关键词
