摘要

Abstract

ABS resin was reinforced by short aramid 1414 (PPTA). The microstructure, thermal property and mechanical property of ABS/PPTA composite were analyzed by SEM, TGA and mechanical property test. The results show that with the addition of 5 phr PPTA, the tensile strength and tensile modulus of ABS/PPTA composite increase by 11% and 29% compared with pure ABS resin, and the flexural strength and flexural modulus are up to 77.8 MPa and 2.9 GPa; the addition of PPTA enhances the thermal stability of ABS resin at high temperature, deceases the maximum weight loss rate, and increases the char residue.
