摘要

Abstract

The stability of a jointed rock slope was investigated by use of the Goodman joint elements and the upper bound limit theorem. The constitutes of rock masses, rock block and joints, were assumed to be perfectly rigidly plastic and to satisfy the Mohr-Coulomb yield criterion. A finite element scheme of the upper bound analysis for the stability of the jointed rock slope was established by means of the Goodman joint elements. By regarding the loading factor of external load or self-weight as the objective function, the nonlinear mathematical programming with equation constraints was formulated, and it was solved by using direct iterative algorithm without searching. Numerical results show that the direction of joints has obvious effect on the jointed rock slopes.
