Abstract
Objective To investigate the adjunctive effect of Thalidomide on patients with advanced cancer. Methods Sixty- three patients with pathologically confirmed advanced cancer were randomly divided into treatment group ( n = 31) and control group ( n = 32). Patients in treatment group were administered chemotherapy plus thalidomide and those in control group were administered chemotherapy only. Response rate and side effect were observed. Results The response rate in treatment group and control group were 54.8 ％ and 31.2 ％. There were differences between two groups (P＜0.05), and the side effects were not different (P ＞0.05). Conclusion Thalidomide combined with chemotherapy can enhance the therapeutic effect in the treatment of advanced cancer and do not improve the adverse reaction of chemotherapy.关键词
