A novel mobility management for paging support in universal network
摘要
Abstract
Universal network is one of identifier/locator separation network architectures, which can efficiently support host mobility. However, as the number of mobile devices increases, the signalling overhead may become the bottleneck of the network. To address this issue, this paper proposes a new mobility management mechanism to support paging in the universal network. To evaluate the proposed scheme, we develop an analytic model to formulate the signalling cost and analyse the influence of the different factors on the signalling cost. The analytical results show that the proposed paging scheme could decrease the total signalling cost and improve the network performance.关键词
