An efficient data collection method by mobile sink node in wireless sensor networks
摘要
Abstract
We introduce mobile sink node to improve energy efficient data collection in a sensor network, where static and mobile sink nodes coexist. All the sensor nodes maintain information of routing to the static sinks. Mobile sink nodes broadcast location update information to adjacent sensor nodes periodically. Sensor nodes send or forward data packets to the nearest sink or mobile sink node with minimum hop counts. The success rate of data delivery is guaranteed efficiently with acknowledge mechanism. Simulation results show that our approach can decrease energy consumption significantly compared to the traditional network approach. It can extend the network lifetime, achieve the higher success rate of data delivery and the lower delay of data transmission.关键词
