摘要

Abstract

Due to its high efficiency, energy saving and friendly environment, induction hardening is one of the most promising surface hardening technologies. In view of the optimization and application of this technique, it is necessary to investigate induction heating process and temperature distribution in surface layer. This paper deals with the problem indirectly by analysing a rare kind of crack in the hardened layer, exploring the heating rate and the temperatue distribution during the induction heating process, discussing the phase transition process in quenching. All of these will promote the study and application of induction hardening.
