摘要
Abstract
Objective To find out young children with developmental abnormality through a screening method and to help these children to fully develop their intellectual potential through early diagnosis and intervention.Methods The universal denever developmental screening test ( DDST ) was employed in the screening.Results A total of 1095 scattered young children were screened by the community health center of Beijing Xicheng District.Fifty - eight positive cases ( 5.30％ ) were yielded from the first round of screening.A second - round screening was carried out in 49 out of the 58 cases ( 84.48％ ).Finaly, 8 cases ( 7.30‰) were diagnosed as metal retardation by the Municipal Marternal and Child Health Care Institute.Conclusion It is necessary to carry out pediatric neuro - developmental screening in communities.which might help with the early detection, early diagnosis, and early intervention of mental retardation in young children.关键词
