Correlative analysis of shield tunneling data and recognition of geologic features

Abstract
For the purpose of judging geological conditions by excavation parameters and considering the stratums surrounding a certain section of the Tianjin tunnel, a correlative analysis of the tunneling data and the geologic parameters was made based on shield excavation tests on the site of construction. The qualitative method of recognizing the geologic features from the tunneling data was proposed. The shield machine's working data was normalized by the cutting-in per revolution of the shield cutter penetration. Also, the geologic data of different stratums with their weighting coefficients was calculated. The investigation presented the correspondence between the tunneling and geologic data following the above processing.关键词
