摘要
Abstract
The Intemet Engineering Task Force (IETF) proposed a network based mobility management protocolPMIPv6 ( Proxy Mobile IPv6). PMIPv6 is different from host based mobility management protocols, whose signaling is transferred among several network entities excluding MN. In order to study the different characteristics of the host-based and the network-based mobility management protocols, the signaling cost of the mobility management protocol PMIPv6 and the host-based mobility management protocols of MIPv6, FMIPv6, HMIPv6, and F-HMIPv6was analyzed using an analytical model. The results show that the PMIPv6 protocol has a low signaling cost.关键词
