Abstract

A supported energy-saving first stage natural gas conversion catalyst (NLY-1 catalyst) was prepared by a multistep impregnation method and used in the scale-up evaluation apparatus.The effects of the operation conditions on the catalyst performance were studied.The fresh and the used catalysts were characterized by means of TG,XRD and SEM.Under the optimal conditions of reactor inlet 500 -520 ℃ ,reactor outlet 780 -800 ℃ ,pressure 3 MPa,GHSV 3 500 h-1 and mole ratio of water to CH4 2.5 -2.7,NLY-1 catalyst had high stability and the CH4 conversion was in the range of 55% -61%.The characterization results showed the excellent resistance to carbon-deposition of the catalyst.Compared with the first stage conversion catalyst from Fertilizer Plant of Daqing Petrochemical Company, NLY-1 catalyst shows good prospects.
